Controller combo. In GTA 5 you tapped a button sequence while playing — no pause screen, no typing box. Sequences were unforgiving: enter them quickly and cleanly, and a small confirmation banner appeared.
In-game phone. Pull up your character's phone, open Contacts, and dial a digit line. Classic codes followed a memorable pattern — expect the same input styles in GTA 6, and expect every real code to appear here first as verified.
Before you use any code: save first. In GTA 5, activating a cheat disabled trophies and achievements for that session. Assume GTA 6 works the same until we've tested it.
What we won't do: publish guesses. Every code on ViceHints is tested in-game and confirmed by two independent sources before it appears. If a page says "0 confirmed", that's the honest number.
Cheat entry — honest answers
Will GTA 5 cheat codes work in GTA 6?
There is no reason to expect that — codes were always specific to each game. We verify every GTA 6 code fresh, in-game, on day one.
How will I know when the first GTA 6 code is confirmed?
It appears on the cheats pages and in the app the moment two independent in-game tests agree — we expect the first confirmations within hours of the November 19, 2026 launch.
